Here's the Trace Adkins video I worked on in January.

I helped build the puppets, and wrangled one day during filming. I got to puppeteer for a few seconds, but you can't see that part in the video anyway.
I was very lucky to get to work with some amazing and professional (and very attractive) puppeteers on this project. I hope I can do it again soon.

Old West Girls

For various reasons or another, I haven't had a lot of time to keep this blog up-to-date, so here is something to make up for that.

These are some rough drawings of some western characters I'm developing (veeeeery slowly).

I don't want to give away their names yet, since I'm not sure if they'll keep them, but I'll put their ranking instead.

These are pretty rough and crappy, they were the second pass I made at sketching the girls out from REALLY rough scribbles, but I kind of like them anyway.

In other sad news, my little one-eyed cat, Jack, went missing three weeks ago. We live in an area with coyotes, so chances are he is gone for good, but he was greatly loved and dearly missed.

So, remember the puppets I worked on a few months ago?

Here's the commercial they were for:

The one I was puppeteering can be seen for about a fraction of a second, which is fine with me since I had no idea what I was doing and it was 4 in the morning and I was squashed in the bottom row of that float (and was only doing it because there was not an even people per puppet ratio for the final shot).

If you're really interested, there are some virals they shot the same night. You can see the puppets better in this one.

Yup, that's about all. Trying to get some artwork done this week. You know I will watch Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey instead, though.

Kitty Loggins: A Gentleman and a Scholar

Here's a little break from art to introduce my cat. His name is Kitty Loggins. I got him at the shelter a year and a half ago. He was surrendered because he "cried too much".
He is the dumbest cat I have ever met.

He likes to sit in hats and lay eggs.
